Terms of use of this service

You intend to act as an administrator for one or more data base items of the on-line site "Aurignac et son canton", either of a project in the school pages, or of a research place in the research pages of the "Musée-forum de l'Aurignacien". You went along the steps required to obtain an account. With your user name and personal pass word, you have now access to the items selected with the agreement of the main administrator, without any time limitation. This account is free of charge. At any time you have access to your heading(s) to add, modify or suppress data. This pass word is strictly personal and involves your responsibility on the inserted pictures or texts. The lack of updating of the headings you are responsible for, during one year, will cause the cancellation of your account on the "Aurignac et son canton" site. Acting as an administrator of the "Aurignac et son canton" site for a school or a research heading of the "Musée-forum de l'Aurignacien", you commit yourself to respect the French law and the content of the charter described below. Charter valid for the sites administration of www.aurignac.fr et www.aurignacien.com Each administrator commits himself to behaving along the following rules. 1) To do not proceed to any text or picture extraction without the agreement of the main administrator representing the owner since a data base is a collective work, according to the French law. 2) To only insert texts or pictures (photograph , drawing) of which you are the author, or you obtained rights from the authors, except when they are out of copyright (70 years after the author death). 3) To respect the Author moral right in any case (even for those out of copyright) and consequently to mention the author name of the related text or picture. 4) To respect the quotation rule: a quotation should be short, inserted in inverted commas and followed by the author and publication names in parentheses. 5) To only reproduce an isolated technical drawing (but not a figure with several drawings) mentioning the name of the author and the document from which it is extracted, along such a way "from XX, publishing year of the book". For instance : from (Carthaillac,1904). The mention should also be inserted in the bibliography of "the research site" or the "object" card. 6) To do not include any information concerning the privacy of people without their consent, and for persons under 18 without the parents agreement. 7) To do not include any photograph showing acknowledgeable people without the concerned people agreement and for persons under 18 the agreement of the parents (the faces of persons under 18 should be blurred on the image). But a picture of a group of people may be included, if the photograph was taken in such a way that the people cannot be individually identified. All the inserted pictures have to be stored along jpg or gif mode, with a pixel number not exceeding 500 x 500. For instance with a resolution of 72 dpi (pixels per inch), the image size is 17 cm x 17 cm. This rule allows to reduce the loading time for the on-line site consultation, and on the other hand to protect the author from a publication without his knowledge. 8) To do not insert any untrue information, slanderous talk, any discriminating remark, or damaging someone dignity, or with some political or religious implications. The texts and pictures stored in the "Research" data base are not liable for any request of copyright. The owner commits itself to respect the moral right of the authors, to hold the integrity of the texts, which nevertheless may be corrected for spelling or grammar errors. 9) The data entry of a research place and of the contained objects is the responsibility of the administrator of the concerned research place, even if the entry process is performed by some several members of his team . The town council of Aurignac, owner of the two sites aurignac.fr and www.aurignacien.com, refuses to accept responsibility in case of no compliance with the terms of the over described charter.
